After completing a 4-year undergraduate degree, a board-certified & licensed naturopathic physician then attends a 4-year, post-graduate level naturopathic medical school, and is educated in all of the same basic sciences as an MD/DO, but also studies clinical nutrition, acupuncture, botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, hydrotherapy, counseling, plus optional internships.
